Variations
“Variations” was made by Daisy Eltenton during her time in lockdown. The idea was to take simple forms (such as cylinders and cones) and play with these in order to create a unified body of work. The collection is united in essence, a family, yet the diversity of sculptural handles and distinctive glazes makes every piece unique. Each pot has it's own personality and character, something that the artist strives for in her work: imbuing inanimate objects with a temperament of their own.
Unable to exhibit in a gallery due to the lockdown restrictions in the United Kingdom, Daisy has decided to publish the work on her website, thus making it accessible to all. The presentation of the pieces, some alone, others arranged in groups, is how the work would be placed in a gallery setting: little families of pots that together create a whole.
