Daisy Eltenton

My practice focuses on bringing forth a greater joy and appreciation of meals, food, and home decor, for I feel this is an aspect of life that is being lost in such a fast paced, mass manufactured society.

 

I use hand-building techniques such as coil building and slabs as my main tools for making, as I seek to be as manually engaged with my making as possible. All my work is made with high-fired stoneware, in order to make it as strong and durable as possible. It is fired in an oxidation environment, and all glazes are functional, microwave and dishwasher safe.
